January 2027 Luncheon

Marissa Figueroa is a Policy Specialist with Audubon Florida, where she works to advance science-based conservation and land-use policy across Southwest Florida. Prior to joining Audubon, she spent nearly a decade at Rookery Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, leading efforts to connect planners, resource managers, elected officials, and other professionals with the science, tools, and training needed to make informed decisions that benefit both communities and natural resources. Marissa holds a degree in Marine Science from Florida Gulf Coast University and, in her free time, is a part-time student pursuing a master's degree at Florida International University in Environmental Science focused on mangrove restoration and blue carbon.
