Pat Sherry - President


Originally from Buffalo, New York, Pat grew up in New Jersey then moved to Connecticut to raise her family.  In Connecticut, Pat and her husband, owned tax accounting offices. She has been in Naples since 2004. 

 

Pat has always been involved in her community. Serving several offices in Connecticut, including Board of Education and Town Council. She currently serves on the Collier County Water and Wastewater Authority and the Infrastructure Surtax Citizens Oversight Committee.

Ray Allmond - Vice President

Born in the Norfolk–Virginia Beach area, I began my career as a service manager for a national security firm before transferring to the Washington, D.C. region in 1985, where I met my future wife, Karen. In 1990 I was recruited by the Naval Surface Warfare Center—formerly the United 
States Naval Ship Research Center—as a federal Department of the Navy civilian. 

 

Within the Hydromechanics Department’s Towed Systems Branch, I supported major naval programs and spent roughly a decade assigned to Aegis Missile Defense, serving as the Assistant Officer in Charge on the tracking vessel in Hawaii. Around 2007, I transitioned to the Ship 
Signature and Silencing Division, continuing my work in support of critical naval research and defense initiatives within a classified environment. I retired in 2018 after 28yrs of federal service.

George Danz - Secretary


George is originally from Michigan. He served four years in the USAF, received his BS from Oklahoma State University and a Masters Degree from Florida International University. He served as a Fire Chief in Michigan and Wisconsin before being appointed as Director of Emergency Services (Fire & EMS) in Broward County, FL. He then served as Chief of Operations/Director of the Medical Examiner and Trauma Services Division of Broward County before retiring and moving to Naples. In addition to being an ENCA Board Member, George is a Trustee on the Greater Naples Fire Pension Board and a member of the Collier County Fire Chiefs EMS Committee.

Thomas Cannon - Treasurer

  
Tom and his wife Gale moved to Collier County in 1977 from Northwest Indiana and established residency in East Naples in 1980. In 1984 Tom opened his own accounting office after attending Florida Southwestern State College and the University of South Florida. He had the pleasure to serve on the East Naples Fire and Rescue board for 28 years and numerous others boards over the years.

Matthew Boggan - Director

Matthew brings a diverse range of experiences to the East Naples Civic and Commerce Board. From his early entrepreneurial endeavors, including founding his first web design company, DESIGN MNB, at the age of 15, to working in the Florida House of Representatives, he has demonstrated a passion for innovation and community engagement. With a Bachelor's and MBA from FGCU, Matthew's expertise spans business management, marketing, and consulting. As the owner of Gulf Coast Agency, a successful marketing and consulting firm, and the managing partner of Stix Sushi & Seafood in East Naples, he is deeply committed to the growth and prosperity of our community. His dynamic background and dedication to excellence make him a valuable addition to our board.

John F. Hooley - Director

 

John has been a member of ENCA since 1986, originally working with Donna Fiala on median beatification. He served continuously on the Board of directors since 1988, including two terms as president. He is a practicing lawyer, board certified in civil trial law and commercial litigation. He has lived here since 1982 and believes that our service in ENCA has made East Naples a better place to live for all of us.

J.P. Terrasi - Director

J.P. brings a wealth of knowledge and diverse experience to the East Naples Civic and Commerce Board. He brings experience from The Detroit Tigers baseball club, two Fortune 500 companies, owning a semi-professional soccer team, and owning a Marketing Company (Terrasi Media) for over 15 years. He has all sorts of experience from marketing, advertising, graphic design, media fulfillment, accounting, and general business.

He graduated from Western Michigan University in 1994 with two degrees in Business Administration (Marketing) and Communication (Broadcast Cable Production & Film). J.P. joined Sports Facilities Companies, which manages the Paradise Coast Sports Complex, three years ago as the Marketing Manager. The Paradise Coast Sports Complex is a county-owned facility that has nine professional, turf rectangular fields, a professional stadium, an outdoor gym, an outdoor bar and hosts numerous community and sporting events over its 188 acres in East Naples.

He has lived in Southwest Florida for over 20 years and raised five children in Cape Coral prior to moving to Naples. He's very active in the community and a member of various boards and organizations.

Jeff Macasevich - Director

Jeffrey is a native of Bethlehem, PA and moved to Florida in 1997. He is a licensed Florida Funeral Director and Embalmer and is presently associated with Naples Funeral Home in East Naples. Jeff is a member of the East Naples Kiwanis and served as a distinguished Past President and Vice President. Jeff has also been Santa Claus here in East Naples and throughout Collier County for many years.

Kara Laufer- Director

Kara Laufer, a Naples resident since 1994, joined the staff of Naples Botanical Garden in 2012 as the Director of Business Development overseeing all exhibitions and events, communications and marketing, social media, website, and public relations. Today, Kara is responsible for all community marketing of the Garden with an emphasis on audience diversification, Garden for All community access efforts, and strategic partnership development. Recently, Kara was appointed oversite of private and public events and festivals. Kara is a graduate of University of Arkansas, and serves on the board of Skal International Southwest Florida and is graduate of Leadership Collier class of 2022.

Manny Benitez - Director

Manny brings a thoughtful, relationship-centered approach to financial services, focusing on trust, strategic insight, and long-term impact. With over a decade of experience—including eight years at Merrill Lynch and now at Raymond James—he helps individuals and families navigate complex financial decisions while aligning their wealth with their values and goals.

 

A graduate of Florida International University with both a bachelor’s and MBA, Manny is also a proud resident of Naples. He actively participates in organizations such as the SWFL Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Kiwanis Club Naples, and East Naples Civic & Commerce. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, working out, golf, pickleball, and spending time with his wife, Leimys, and their three French Bulldogs.
